Bible Study & Fellowship

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

A diverse age group of Christian believers seeking to learn more about the love of God as revealed in his Holy Word, nurture each other and go forth into the world with inner peace and courage to witness for God’s grace and goodness. The group meets 10:30 a.m. –12:00 p.m. in the library and is open to all.

Lunch Bunch

This is wonderful group of super adults who gather monthly for fellowship, prayer, and fun. Often the group meets in the CLLC to enjoy a covered dish lunch and listen to an interesting speaker, but they also go on group trips to Mepkin Abbey, Poogan’s Porch, and other area sites and restaurants. Multi-generational programs are another important goal of the group, so birthday cards are sent to the youngsters of Hibben and the Prime Timers love to frost cupcakes with the Hibben Preschoolers.

Men’s Club

Men’s Ministry at Hibben UMC focuses on fellowship, service and spiritual renewal. The group gathers for a meal and special speaker once a month in the CLLC. Check the Hibben Happenings for upcoming activities.
Special Events include a fall and spring fish fry, Valentine’s Dinner, and various outings. Contact Johnny McAllister for more information.

Women’s Ministry

You can find the Women of Hibben in all areas of church life  from missions to outreach to small group studies to nurture of other members. Hibben women hold regular get togethers and movie nights throughout the year. Recent screenings include My Fair Lady and Barbie.

Spring Retreat
Dozens of ladies travel to Camp St. Christopher on Seabrook Island for the weekend. Each year’s theme is presented by several women with their own perspectives and backgrounds. We take advantage of the beautiful setting, enjoying the outdoors and nearby shopping between sessions. This weekend is a great way to meet women outside of your groups and grow in Christian belief. For more information contact the church office at office@hibbenumc.org.
